Where your 10% goes

Every REDLINE piece is built on a hard truth. In the 1930s, federal HOLC redlining maps graded neighborhoods in Grand Rapids, Flint, and Detroit by race, deciding who could build wealth through homeownership and who could not. Those lines still shape these cities today.

So the response has to be about housing. We commit 10% of every REDLINE sale to equitable housing in Michigan.

  • We will publish how much has been contributed, and where it went, so you can hold us to it.

Why we are doing it this way

We would rather be specific than vague. A promise becomes trust when you can see where the money goes. This page is where we will show it. Check back as our giving is formalized.

Why housing

Redlining was a housing policy. It denied Black families mortgages, insurance, and the chance to build generational wealth. Housing is where the harm happened, so housing is where we focus.
